Soup Day

Intro

I adore the awesome crochet soup bowl cozies. The contoured form is amazing. I wanted the challenge of making a knitted cozy.
Working with double strands makes the garter stitch extra squishy. Although, not as structured as the crochet version, still very functional and stylish for your kitchen.

Patterns Notes

  • These can go right into the microwave with your bowl and provide safe lifting with the corners.
  • **Avoid getting the fabric wet as to prevent serious burns.
  • Pick up & knit – Pull a loop through a stitch as if to knit and place it on your needle so that you can knit or purl it later.
  • Work holding 2 strands of yarn together.
  • If you have trouble with the "m1" due to the bulk of 2 strands held together, use a crochet hook to pull the yarn through and place the loop on the right needle.
