Happy St. Patrick's Day!

May you be blessed with a pot of gold that offers you happiness, prosperity and luck!

Green! I love all the shades of green! I had 3 skeins of Lily Sugar'n Cream in my stash and knocked out a drying mat and dish cloth in no time.

It's quite an easy pattern too!

Materials & hook:

  • Worsted weight yarn (3 skeins Lily Sugar'n Cream)
  • K/10 1/2 - 6.5mm hook (14" rigid or use a 16" cable on interchangeable)

Dish Cloth (9" x 8")

Create a Foundation row of 30 loops with a basic return pass.
All forward passes are followed with a basic return pass.

  • 1 - TPRS to end.
  • 2 - TSS to end.
  • Repeat steps 1 & 2 (3 more times) There should be 4 raised ridged rows on the front of the cloth.
  • 3 - TPRS x 10, TSS x 10, TPRS x 10.
  • 4 - TSS to end.
  • Repeat steps 3 & 4 (3 more times)
  • Repeat steps 1 & 2 (3 times)
  • Cast off in TPRS for last row.
Single crochet around entire cloth, place 2 sc in corners.
Slip stitch in each sc around entire cloth. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Drying Mat (20" x 14")

Create a Foundation row of 70 loops with a basic return pass.
All forward passes are followed with a basic return pass.

  • 1 - TPRS to end.
  • 2 - TSS to end.
  • Repeat steps 1 & 2 (2 more times) There should be 3 raised ridged rows on the front of the cloth.
  • 3 - TPRS x 7, TSS x 56, TPRS x 7.
  • 4 - TSS to end.
  • Repeat steps 3 & 4 (15 more times)
  • Repeat steps 1 & 2 (2 times)
  • Cast off in TPRS for last row.
Single crochet around entire cloth, place 2 sc in corners.
Slip stitch in each sc around entire cloth. Fasten off and weave in ends.

TPRS with TSS doesn't curl, so little blocking is needed.

Have a Happy Day!
